@ 20's

Most of the people at twenties are rushing to get their goals done. Perhaps, goals that have been laid out for them, or of some, goals that they had set for themselves.

It's really hard to say if we have already been able to control our ego and use it wisely.

I believe we have reached the time where we have been awaken on what we could really do. We have been awaken and we now know what we already have. We have reached that point where we don't look to add something up from outside ourselves but to gain more of the inside.
In knowing these, we have gained our ability to govern the sails of our boat. We become like skilled sailors.

Because of that we don't have to compare our lives to other peoples lives. Even if our ego will cry in rage but we should learn how to discipline it. We should learn how to let go and appreciate other people too. We should learn to let go of our desire to compare ourselves to others, we can only compare our lives to who we are previously and to who what we want to be.

Don't you think we are at the right place, at the right time, with the right kind of imperfect people but altogether they help us build the kind of personality and life that we have?

NICU Nurse

I'm a NICU nurse. NICU stands for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I'm a nurse who specialize in neonates (babies who have just been born up to the age of 1 month) who needs specialize care because of some neonatal problems seen after birth. In short I work in an ICU for the newborns.

So I work 48 hours a week in the hospital. I love my job. It's so fulfilling to be able to do this job. It's challenging, emotional, requiring much effort, intelligence, efficiency, effectiveness, and lot's of love.
There are so many small things that happen in the NICU. We see lot of smiles from the expecting parents, sometimes we see fearful eyes from our baby patients, some we see anxious parents, and most of the times we see all sorts of miracles happen. These are some of the things that makes a NICU Nurse special; to be able to handle all these with grace, and to make sure that she's using her best to make everything be all right.

There are also a lot of tears you'll shed when you are a NICU nurse. Tears of joy as you discharge a baby whom you had cared for quite long, tears when all your efforts had been all used up and things still not going on the direction that they should be and the baby can't manage to keep up because of immaturity and you can't do anything but to let go. Those times when you want to give all the best for the baby but the parents don't care much as you would like to, or parents who give up because they can't support the ongoing therapy. That's when we have to make some alternatives to settle all these.
And we give our best effort for everybody's sake because we value life. There are so many much more lives to save.

These are for the NICU Nurses and to all the NURSES in whole wide world! Cheers to all!
Much love to you!
